Developing Leaders

With an explosion of growth in the Congo and Refugee encampments in Uganda there is a tremendous ongoing effort to train and release leaders. To accomodate this growth we have implemented intense multi-day practical trainings. These trainings are happening regularly all over Uganda and into the Congo.

Over a 3-day period we provide:

• Food
• Materials
• Transportation

$2000 trains and releases 50 leaders or $40 per leader

Biblical Training

With so many new believers there’s a ever present need to teach the word of God! With a lack of technology and bibles, The Rock Ministries is  committed to delivering the word of God to the people of Uganda and the Congo in every way possible.

We provide:

• Bibles
• Blackboards
• Biblical Training on how to share the gospel and be a disciple

Bibles cost $15, while blackboards cost $30

Trauma and Grief Counseling

We are partnered with Favor International who describes their program below:

“Our trauma healing program has two parts. The first section focuses on developing emotional strength, and the second teaches about forgiveness. Throughout the program, the counselors teach people how to connect to one another and counter stress with positive activity. In addition, stories and sharing times help the participants understand pain and trauma from another perspective while giving them the opportunity to discuss the events they’ve experienced.

Though founded in Biblical curriculum and implementation, the services and healing we offer to traumatized communities are not always presented as a “religious” function, but as a process that works. By the end of the program, forgiveness is introduced. How can you forgive if you have never been forgiven – in other words how can you give away what you have never received? They are introduced to the Great Forgiver!

$4000 empowers 100 leaders to engage and help the traumatized people around them – $40 per leader
