Wherever We Are,
Our Mission Remains
The Rock Ministries operates under four primary principles.
Wherever we are in the world, we make disciples and train them to also make disciples. God’s purpose to reach all peoples, tribes and nations is advancing. While cultures and peoples are different all around the world, our assignment remains the same. Make disciples, baptize, teach them to obey until there is no place left that has not heard the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Matthew 28:18-20
18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Principle #2 Make Disciples
When we imitate Jesus through prayer, love, and obedience, we truly become more like Him everyday. The Rock Ministries is here to aid you in your spiritual journey. We will pray for you, help you learn to study God’s Word and how you can apply it to change your life.
Training & Teaching . . . Same or Different?
They are actually different! Teaching is more about sharing knowledge, while training is putting knowledge into action and doing it. Both are important, but knowledge without action can be useless. Therefore we focus on training believers to become mature in God’s family.
John 3:18
Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.
Principle #3 Training
Everyone trains their children to grow and succeed at every stage of life. Similarly, The Rock Ministries trains believers like you. We love, encourage, and equip you to follow the purpose Jesus has for your life.
What is most important to God? The bible says that: All of God’s commandments are important, but the three key components, as shared by Jesus in God’s Word are:
1) Love God with all your heart, soul, and mind
2) Love your neighbor as yourself
3) Make disciples of all nations and peoples
These 3 key components are at the very heart of what God teaches us!
Matthew 22:37-39
Jesus replied: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.”
Principle #4 Church Multiplication
A church is simply a regular gathering of believers worshiping and obeying God, whether they meet in a home, under a tree, or really anywhere. As people are saved, they become part of God’s family, and the church grows, and God’s Kingdom advances.
Early Churches Were Homes
For the first 300 years, the church multiplied house to house as they were readily available and free. They also met any place people would gather. House churches have fewer people that promote deeper relationships and intimacy. House churches multiply as they tap into natural relationships to share the gospel.
Acts 2:46-47
Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
A Church’s Purpose
In Acts, the early churches modeled love, caring, and generosity to their fellow brothers and sisters while also sharing the Good News of Jesus.
